Stone Specialist Builds New Future
Ownership of one of the UK’s largest suppliers of natural stone changed hands just before Christmas via a Management Buy Out in a deal with dealmaking services provided by the team at Castle Square, led by Director Kevan Shaw.
Chesterfield based Realstone is one of the largest suppliers of natural stone in the UK and has three production sites which process stone extracted from eight quarries operated by the Group’s Blockstone subsidiary.
The company has processing facilities in Chesterfield, Glasgow and Penrith, Cumbria, which process stone quarried from three locations in Derbyshire and sites in Richmondshire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Scotland, where different kinds and colours of limestone and Sandstone are extracted and supplied into major projects, such as St Andrews University and St Pancras Station, London.
