Entrepreneur Smooths The Way in Engineering Deal

The Castle Square team, led by Director Kevan Shaw, advised local entrepreneur Lee Speight on the successful Management Buy-In of specialist surface engineers, Unisurf Engineering Limited.

Lee is well known in the engineering sector with a sound track record of delivering profitable growth, having developed a number of manufacturing businesses, including turnarounds, from substantial losses to profit.

Bradford based Unisurf Engineering has built up an enviable reputation in the field of surface technology and precision engineering serving industries from Formula 1 to newspapers and print and sewage treatment, counting News International and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries among its customers.

There was strong input on the transaction from the Yorkshire professional community with legal advice being provided by Lupton Fawcett’s Sheffield team led by Adrian Hackett. The Castle Square team led negotiations with John Davis of Venture Finance’s Yorkshire team in providing a finance package which will allow Lee to realise the full potential of the business.
